December 11, 2023<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0Odyssey Logistics<\/a>\u00a0(Odyssey), a global leader in logistics and technology solutions, announced that Michael Ziomek has been appointed chief operating officer effective December 11. With 30 years in leadership roles in supply chain logistics, warehousing and distribution, Ziomek comes aboard Odyssey as the company advances its growth strategy, transitions to a unified Odyssey brand and aims to enhance customer experiences worldwide.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ziomek has extensive logistics and operational leadership experience in a wide range of industries\u2014automotive, medical device, technology, food, retail and consumer products. In his most recent role as COO at Highline Warren in Memphis, Tenn., he led a supply chain organization of 400 team members across 12 sites, supported revenue expansion from $350 million to $1.7 billion and and assisted in the successful\u00a0sale to\u00a0 new private equity ownership.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Prior to that, he held leadership roles at Smith & Nephew, Technicolor, Ingram Micro, Rite Aid Corporation and Clorox Company.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ziomek earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural and managerial economics from the University of California, Davis, and a Masters of Business Administration in information and decision systems from the University of San Francisco.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ziomek succeeds previous COO Cosmo Alberico, who spent nearly two decades in leadership positions at Odyssey. Alberico retired in October 2023, following a tenure at Odyssey that resulted in average annual double-digit revenue growth.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ziomek will lead operational strategy and management for the company\u2019s four core divisions \u2014 Integrated Marine Logistics, Intermodal, Managed Services and Transport & Warehouse, under a unified Odyssey brand.
