{"id":17965,"date":"2021-11-17T11:01:50","date_gmt":"2021-11-17T11:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.odysseylogistics.com\/?p=17965"},"modified":"2023-12-28T07:20:54","modified_gmt":"2023-12-28T07:20:54","slug":"dows-gold-road-carrier-award","status":"publish","type":"blog","link":"https:\/\/www.odysseylogistics.com\/blog\/dows-gold-road-carrier-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Odyssey&#8217;s bulk divisions honored for safe and secure transportation"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"17965\" class=\"elementor elementor-17965\" data-elementor-post-type=\"blog\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-31f6def e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"31f6def\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-70092ce elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"70092ce\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dow.com\/en-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DOW Chemical Company<\/a>\u00a0(DOW) has recognized both\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.odysseylogistics.com\/trucking\/linden-bulk\/\">Linden Bulk Transportation LLC<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.odysseylogistics.com\/intermodal\/optimodal\/\">Optimodal, Inc<\/a>., subsidiaries of Odyssey Logistics &amp; Technology, with their North America\u00a0Gold\u00a0Road Carrier Safety\/ Security Award for the safe and secure transportation of Dow products from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.\u00a0 These awards exemplify Odyssey\u2019s commitment to providing the highest level of safety and service in challenging markets, and we are proud to be a recipient of this prestigious honor.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a486a32 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a486a32\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The structure for Dow\u2019s North America Road Carrier Safety Award follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The award is based on Dow data for mileage, shipment count, and incident history;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Carriers do not need to apply; they are eligible if they meet Dow\u2019s criteria;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Only carriers contracted directly by Dow will be eligible.\u00a0 Note: 3PLs are encouraged to establish\/ maintain a safety award program, which they will administer.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">All carriers who meet Dow\u2019s criteria receive the award;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Awards will be distributed on an annual basis;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Awards are based on Dow arranged shipments only;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Carriers must be among the group of carriers who transport 90% of Dow shipments for the geography (excluding 3PL arranged shipments);<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Awards will be granted at two levels:\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"2\">Gold \u2013 No Serious, Moderate or Minor Carrier Caused Transportation Incidents;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"2\">Silver \u2013 No Serious or Moderate Carrier Caused Transportation Incidents (meets Dow\u2019s 2025 Transportation Safety Goal), and no more than one Carrier Caused Minor incident\/10,000 shipments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c816758 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c816758\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the 2020-2021 logistics marketplace, capacity has been consistently tight across all sectors, particularly in those handling the transport of hazardous- and non-hazardous chemicals. When emergency capacity is needed, it is often difficult to find.
